Forty Years Later
McAllen Memorial High School opened its doors in 1980, welcoming a new generation of students to a growing McAllen community. By the time the Class of 1987 walked across the stage, Memorial was still a relatively young school, but the memories we created there would last a lifetime. We shared classrooms, football games, dances, pep rallies, friendships, first loves, triumphs, challenges, and all the everyday moments that made our high school years uniquely ours.
Now, nearly four decades later, the McAllen Memorial High School Class of 1987 comes together again over Homecoming Weekend in October 2026. What a journey it has been. We have grown, changed, built careers and families, traveled different paths, and experienced the many chapters life has written since those days.
After all these years, we are still the Mustangs of 1987—older, wiser, changed by life, but forever connected by the memories we made together at Memorial—and still doing Whatever It Takes.

Friday Football Game
McAllen Memorial Mustangs vs La Joya Palmview Lobos | Homecoming Notes: Tickets go on sale the week of the game and must be purchased online at McAllen ISD GoFan Ticketing. We will have a roped-off area for our class. Reminder: The stadium has a clear bag policy.
Friday Get-Together
After the game, head to Barrel House Kitchen & Bar with our good friend Robert Ceballos. spinning the tunes! Remember "Whatever it Takes" - Take Uber or Lyft. The Class of '87 wants you to get to home safely! Drink responsibly!
Saturday School Tour
Reminisce the good old days. Meet in the main hallway. Notes: 1987 yearbooks will be available for purchase here for $10 (cash only). (Note: We do not have extra copies from '84, '85, or '86).
Saturday Lunch
Join us for a Bar-B-Q lunch- three meat options, three side options, bread and tea included.
Saturday Dinner & Celebration
Cocktails: 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM Dinner: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Casual attire. The meal is a set price; a cash bar is available for additional beverage selections.
